Caretaker Service
Most second homes owners do not live locally and are dependent upon finding a reliable local to keep an eye on the property whilst they are away. The Caretaker is often also the person responsible for cleaning the property on changeover day. The quality of the job done by the caretaker is probably the single most important factor when it comes to creating a good first impression. Your guests will be arriving, probably after a long and tiring journey to find their holiday property. They will want to find a warm welcome.
It is important that you and your caretaker have a very clear understanding about what is required of him/her, and an agreement that covers his duties, and the standard to which the work will be done.
Caretaker Chores Checklist
Through experience and feedback we have compiled a checklist that should be second nature for the caretaker. We also recommend that landlords elicit feedback from their guests after every visit.
